About
From skinny and weak
to overweight and depressed,
to fit and strong
48kg and too skinny to fill out any T-shirt. 96kg with a belly, depressed, and too ashamed to even take my T-shirt off in the changing room as a coach a few years later. How did I even get here?
As a teenager, I was always the skinny guy who struggled to gain weight and build muscle. No matter how much I ate or lifted, I couldn’t see any noticeable change in my body. It was frustrating and it felt like that went on for years.
Eventually, I started learning about nutrition and how to eat to gain weight and see visible muscle growth. I quickly realised that progress wasn’t just about lifting heavier weights but fueling my body with the right foods to see the results I wanted.
Over time, I had the privilege of meeting and training with national-level competitors who were just as passionate about fitness as I was. I made sure to absorb as much knowledge from them as possible learning from their achievements and setbacks. I applied everything I knew in my training sessions, and that’s when I started to see real progress. I quickly realised I couldn’t do this alone. I needed support from those who had been where I was.
As time went by, I started to see the results. My muscles were growing, my abs started to show, my legs were no longer skinny, and I felt stronger and more confident than ever.
But life has a way of throwing curveballs. After I’d just received my Fitness Trainer Qualification and was excited to start my career as a PT, life threw me a massive curveball. Work stress, other commitments, and unhealthy habits took over. Slowly, everything I’d worked for seemed to slip away. Years later, I found myself overweight, out of shape, demotivated, and mentally drained.
I had been through the fitness grind before, but this time, it felt different. My hard work seemed wasted, and I couldn’t figure out where I’d gone wrong. But then, I hit a point where I knew I needed to get myself out of this rut. I took a step back, reflected on my life, and asked myself, “What can I realistically do to get back into a routine that works for me?”
The biggest lesson I learned was that fitness isn’t about perfection. It’s about consistency. It’s about showing up and being real with myself. I stopped stressing about perfection and instead focused on what made me feel good: lifting weights, eating better (most of the time), and remembering that progress is never linear. It took time, but I found sustainable, manageable and most importantly, enjoyable strategies.
This is how I’ve been helping others to get back on track, no matter where they are in their fitness journey. I don’t follow or recommend crazy diets or unrealistic workouts. My focus is on what works for YOU and YOUR lifestyle.
If you’re feeling stuck, demotivated, or tired of not seeing any real progress...trust me, I’ve been there. And I promised myself it would never happen again. And it didn’t. It won’t. Why? Because I found sustainable ways to make fitness and healthy eating a part of my clients' lives. Together we can find the strategy that works for YOUR life and sets you on track to achieve the body and confidence you want.
